Welcome to Tambun, Clever Adventure Bercham 🍊

28 kids came up on Tuesday. First the orchard, so they could see where a pomelo actually comes from. Then the sharing session, then peeling one themselves — which takes a while when your thumbs are that small.

After that they made their own drinks at the counter. Their choice, their combination, nobody correcting them.

SEEU came out. Certificates and a souvenir to take home.

Thank you to the teachers for bringing them, and for keeping 28 excited kids in one piece for two hours. You're welcome back any time.

Our family started selling fruit in Tambun in 1933 — twenty-four years before there was a Malaysia to sell it in 🇲🇾

Four generations later, the orchard is still there, the pomelos still get peeled by hand, and we're still in Ipoh.

Kisah kami bermula pada tahun 1933, apabila datuk moyang kami menanam sebiji benih limau bali di tanah Tambun ini. Empat generasi kemudian, kami masih di sini — dan hari ini, limau bali Tambun berpeluang dikenali oleh lebih ramai orang.

Bagi kami, limau bali Tambun bukan sekadar buah. Ia identiti Ipoh. Ia warisan yang kami pelihara.

Semoga hari ini menjadi permulaan satu kerjasama yang manis — semanis limau bali Tambun.

We started with one cup of pomelo. Then we opened the orchard so kids could pick their own. From today, there's pastry.
