When is the right time to do physiotherapy for low back pain?

The simple answer: as early as possible — especially if the pain is not improving.

Many people wait until the pain becomes severe before seeking help, but early physiotherapy can help prevent the condition from getting worse and speed up recovery.

You should consider physiotherapy when:
✅ Pain lasts more than a few days and is not improving
✅ Difficulty bending, walking, standing, or sitting comfortably
✅ Pain keeps coming back repeatedly
✅ Pain spreads to the buttock or leg (such as sciatica symptoms)
✅ Muscle tightness or stiffness limits daily activities
✅ After lifting injury, sports injury, or poor posture-related pain

Physiotherapy is not only for severe pain.
The earlier the treatment, the easier it is to reduce pain, improve movement, strengthen weak muscles, and prevent future recurrence.

At physiotherapy, we don’t just treat the pain — we identify the root cause and help you return to your daily activities safely and confidently!

Why This Happened?

Common reasons include:
✅ Too much repeated hand use
Typing, using phone, gripping tools, lifting, sewing, cooking, massage work, repetitive wrist bending — repeated movement can irritate the tissues.

✅ Swelling in the wrist
When tissues swell, there’s less space inside the tunnel, so the nerve gets “crowded.”

✅ Pregnancy
Extra fluid retention during pregnancy can press on the nerve, which is why some pregnant women get hand numbness.

✅ Diabetes or thyroid problems
Some medical conditions can make nerves more sensitive or cause swelling.

✅ Poor wrist position for long hours
Sleeping with bent wrists, long computer work, driving, or gripping handlebars can aggravate it.

What symptoms people usually feel???
Tingling or “pins and needles”
Numbness in thumb, index, middle finger
Hand pain, especially at night.

Weak grip (dropping things suddenly)
Feeling the hand is “dead” or swollen even if it looks normal.

A common clue: people wake up at night and shake their hand to feel better.

Don't ignore this symptoms!

Why physiotherapy is important after an ankle sprain?

Physiotherapy plays an important role after an ankle sprain to ensure proper healing and prevent future injuries.

After a sprain, the ankle can become weak, stiff, painful, and unstable.

Through targeted treatment and exercises, physiotherapy helps reduce pain and swelling, restore movement, strengthen the ankle, improve balance, and speed up recovery.

Most importantly, it reduces the risk of repeated ankle sprains and helps you return safely to sports, work, and daily activities.

Back muscle tightness happens when the muscles are
⛔️overworked
⛔️stressed
⛔️ trying to protect the spine from strain

It can be caused by
🚫prolonged sitting
🚫poor posture
🚫heavy lifting
🚫lack of stretching
🚫stress
🚫muscle imbalance
🚫previous injuries

When the muscles stay tight for too long, it may lead to stiffness, discomfort, reduced mobility, and difficulty performing daily activities.

Proper treatment, stretching, strengthening, and posture correction are important to relieve the tension and prevent it from recurring. 💆‍♂️

Don’t ignore persistent back tightness — your body could be asking for help.

That heavy, tight discomfort in your lower back is often due to compression in the spine—where the joints, discs, and surrounding nerves are constantly under pressure from
⛔️Posture
⛔️Prolonged sitting
⛔️Physical strain

LUMBAR TRACTION is a technique that gently stretches the lower spine.
This controlled pulling action helps to create space between the vertebrae, which reduces pressure on the intervertebral discs and nearby nerves.
When this pressure is relieved, it can decrease pain, reduce muscle guarding, and improve blood flow to the affected area—supporting the body’s natural healing process.

By unloading the spine, lumbar traction also helps restore better mobility and gives that “lighter” feeling in the lower back.

If your back has been feeling compressed or stiff, it may be a sign your spine needs decompression.

📩 Reach out to us to find out if lumbar traction is suitable for you!

Muscle tightness in teenage boys during growth is very common—and it’s not just because they’re “not stretching enough.”

It’s mainly due to how the body develops during puberty😃

Here’s what’s really happening:

1. Bones grow faster than muscles During a growth spurt, bones lengthen quickly, especially in the legs.
Muscles and tendons take more time to adapt to this new length.

👉 Result: muscles feel “short” and tight because they’re being constantly stretched by the growing bones.

2. Reduced flexibility during rapid growth phase There’s a temporary drop in flexibility when growth is fastest.
👉 Common tight areas:
Hamstrings
Quadriceps
Calves
Hip flexors

3. Increased sports activity Many teenage boys are active in sports (football, badminton, gym). Repetitive movements + growth changes = higher muscle tension.
👉 Without proper recovery, tightness builds up.

Why this matters (from a physio perspective)
If ignored, muscle tightness during growth can lead to:

⛔️Knee pain (like Osgood-Schlatter)
⛔️Heel pain (Sever’s disease)
⛔️Muscle strains
⛔️Poor movement patterns

What actually helps
✅️Regular stretching (especially after activity)
✅️Strength + flexibility balance (not just gym)
✅️Proper warm-up before sports
✅️Adequate rest & hydration
✅️Early physio assessment if pain starts
