While driving today, a few mosquitoes managed to slip in during that brief moment the door was open as I left the hospital. 🦟

They are tiny, yet incredibly distracting, buzzing around your ears, glancing through your vision. It is a true test of composure. Taking your hands off the wheel or your eyes off the road can lead to a disaster.

The priority remains: Stay focused on the road.

In life, we often face these "mosquitoes." Small issues, petty distractions, or negative people trying to break our concentration. Stay focused on what truly matters.

Give the task at hand your 200% focus and leave the "mosquitoes" trapped in the car. Eventually, the extreme heat will take care of them.

I was honored to serve as the moderator for a vital panel discussion, “Breaking Barriers: Cancer Myths, Stigma & Delayed Help-Seeking,” as part of the CHECK! (Cancer Health Education & Community Knowledge) programme.

Organised by the Asian Medical Students' Association of MUCM (AMSA MUCM) in collaboration with the National Cancer Society of Malaysia (NCSM), this event focused on a critical reality: screening rates in Malaysia remain alarmingly slow.

Hemorrhoid? Maybe Not. 🛑

I recently saw a patient who had been experiencing re**al bleeding for over a year. Like many, the assumption was that it was "just hemorrhoids."

It was only when they began having difficulty passing motion that they came in for a check-up. Unfortunately, the colonoscopy revealed the truth, it was Colon Cancer!

Never self-treat with re**al bleeding.
Seek a professional opinion early. Stay healthy and stay informed.

Sometimes, to hit that 10,000 steps goal, you have to make the journey fun. Those 2 flights of stairs felt like a breeze when I let my inner child take the lead the stairs.

Minggu yang penuh cabaran. Handle beberapa pembedahan yang complex pada masa yang sama melawan sore throat dan cough sememangnya menguji ketahanan fizikal dan mental. 🤒

Thank God, semua pesakit kini dalam proses pemulihan yang baik. Doctors prioritize patients more than own self care and even neglect own family at times. It's simply the responsibility we carry to ensure every patient gets back to their health and their families. That is the reality of the work we do.

One month into my new chapter at Oriental Melaka Straits Medical Centre. 🏥✨

The transition has been a challenging. But as I settle into this new rhythm, people keep asking: 'What do you regret most about leaving the public sector after 18 years?'

It’s not the titles or the hierarchy.

I miss the raw, unfiltered teamwork in the Ward, OT, Clinic & Endoscopy, the MOs, the Staff Nurses, and the Housemen who became family.

18 years of 'fighting' together isn't something you just switch off.
