Cholesterol is actually very important for the body!
When cholesterol levels are too high, they can silently endanger your health. Hypercholesterolemia is known as the "silent killer" because it often shows no early symptoms, yet gradually leads to atherosclerosis, which can result in stroke, heart disease, and other life-threatening conditions.
✅ So don’t wait for symptoms to take action!
Regular lipid testing, adjusting your diet, increasing physical activity, and using medications when advised by your doctor are key steps to effectively prevent complications.
On the other hand, lower cholesterol is not always healthier. Persistently low cholesterol may affect immune function, disrupt hormonal balance, and even be linked to mood disorders.
📌 If your cholesterol test results are abnormal, do not self-medicate or attempt to control it on your own. The cause should be evaluated by a doctor, who can then determine whether adjustments in diet, lifestyle, or medication are necessary.
