At least 20 minutes of moderate exercise daily in early old age (70 – 75) can help stave off major heart disease in late old age (80+). It’s never too late to start! Women and men who exercised more had consistently lower rates of heart disease. Men who stayed active had a 52% lower risk of heart disease compared to men who were not active.
