We’re honoured to host our guest artist, Nagaia. The first revival female hand tapper in Sarawak of this generation. Carrying forward a practice once held by Orang Ulu women, her work reconnects past and present through every tap, every mark.
Deeply rooted in Bornean heritage, she draws inspiration from Pua Kumbu and traditional tribal motifs. Each piece carries a sense of story, culture, and identity, translated through bold, intentional mark making. Nagaia works in both machine and hand tapping, offering a rare opportunity to experience tattooing in its most traditional form.
Don’t miss this chance to experience hand tapping during the harvest season, a time that makes the journey even more meaningful, grounding your piece in both tradition and moment.
