PERDESA–PHM FAMILY DAY 2026
On 25 July 2026, the Sabah Rural Medicine Association (PERDESA), in collaboration with Public Health Medicine (PHM), Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences, Universiti Malaysia Sabah, successfully organised the PERDESA–PHM Family Day 2026 at ODEC Beach, UMS.
The event was officiated by the President of PERDESA, Associate Professor Dr Syed Sharizman bin Syed Abdul Rahim. Also present were Professor Khamisah Awang Lukman, Associate Professor Dr Abdul Rahman Ramdzan, Associate Professor Dr Azman Atil, PERDESA members, PHM staff and their family members.
Various enjoyable and engaging activities were held throughout the event, creating a cheerful, friendly and family-oriented atmosphere. The lucky draw was one of the highlights of the day, with many fortunate winners taking home attractive prizes.
The Family Day provided an important platform for PERDESA members and PHM staff to strengthen relationships outside the formal working environment. It also helped improve communication, promote teamwork and foster a stronger sense of belonging within the organisation. Activities such as this contribute to staff well-being, help reduce work-related stress and support the development of a more positive and harmonious professional environment.
