所谓前人种树，后人乘凉。在祖辈们的细心教导和栽培，才能够发展到今天的永祥隆有限公司。

时间倒回第二世界大战时期，祖辈们因为躲避战争而飘洋过海到马来西亚的吉隆坡落地生根，继续经营他们最强项的一目：中药材。

他们在茨场街从一个小摊，靠着诚信和努力得到街坊们的信任与支持，矿大到小门面。那时候楼下是店面，楼上着是栖息之地。70年代时期可谓是中药材的黄金时期，许许多多的药材都是亲手炮制/磨粉/药丸制作/切片，天天都都是敲打切片的声音，当真热闹。

到了90年代，随着货物品种越来越多，于是就搬迁到Taman Maluri Cheras的3层店面，送货地区跑偏大半个马来西亚，再慢慢成立门市，完成批发与零售。

如今的永祥隆有限公司，从年货到海味几乎应有尽有。过年必备的送礼佳品和年饼干，HAMPER以及热门花茶，汤料，红枣类，海参海产累，孕妇必备的月子配套，燕窝泡参，加上中草药如夏枯草麦冬，到中医师所需的药草，都可以在这里永祥隆找的到。
