A prostate cancer awareness programme initiated by Urological Cancer Trust Fund, Universiti Malaya.

'Beat Prostate Cancer' is a campaign by Universiti Malaya's Urological Cancer Trust Fund, aiming to raise awareness about prostate cancer. Over 60% of men with prostate cancer in Malaysia are diagnosed at an advanced stage. The campaign focuses on the importance of prostate health, risks and symptoms of prostate cancer, and encourages early detection of prostate cancer.

🏌️‍♂️💙 Another successful Swing for Blue event!

On 6 June 2026, Swing for Blue was held at Kelab Golf Negara Subang in collaboration with the Malaysian Golf Association (MGA) Women in Golf Charter (WIGC), bringing together the golfing community to raise awareness about prostate cancer and promote men’s health.

The event featured an insightful prostate cancer awareness talk by Dr. Novinth Kumar a/l L. Raja Ram, Clinical Specialist, Universiti Malaya Medical Centre (UMMC) and Dr. Cheong Yuen Khai from Regen Hospital, who shared valuable knowledge on prostate cancer, the importance of early detection, and healthy ageing through education and timely intervention.

Following the talk, the Urological Cancer Trust Fund (UCTF) provided complimentary Prostate-Specific Antigen (PSA) screening for men aged 50 years and above, encouraging participants to take charge of their health through regular screening and early detection.

A heartfelt thank you to the event organisers, our distinguished speakers, volunteers, and everyone who participated and supported this initiative. Your commitment made this event a meaningful success.

Together, let’s continue raising awareness, supporting one another, and prioritising men’s health—because early detection saves lives. 💙

The Urological Cancer Trust Fund (UCTF), Universiti Malaya, in collaboration with the Malaysian Golf Association (MGA) Women in Golf Charter (WIGC) and The Royal Lake Club, successfully organised a Prostate Cancer Awareness event on 16 May 2026.

The event aimed to increase public awareness on prostate health, especially among men in their late 40s and above, and to highlight the importance of early detection through screening tests.

The session featured an insightful talk on prostate cancer awareness by Dr. Ahmad Nazran bin Fadzli Consultant Urologist from Universiti Malaya Medical Centre, who shared valuable information on early detection, prevention, and the importance of regular health screening.

A special thank you to the WIGC team for organising this event.

We would also like to thank all participants and supporters who made this event a success. Let us continue to spread awareness, support one another, and prioritise health — because early detection saves lives. 💙
