🌺 International Women’s Day 2026

Today is a reminder that rights, justice, and action are not abstract ideals. They are daily commitments. They are the backbone of a society that chooses dignity over silence, equity over convenience, and courage over complacency.

Across Malaysia and around the world, women continue to lead, organise, heal, and transform systems that were never designed with them in mind. Their labour, both visible and invisible, sustains families, institutions, and nations.

As we push for a future where women’s health, safety, and autonomy are non negotiable, we honour every survivor, every advocate, every practitioner, and every ally who refuses to accept “good enough” as the standard.

This work is collective. This work is urgent. This work is ours.

The Malaysian Doctors for Women & Children is pleased to share the release of Asian-Pacific Resource & Research Centre for Women (ARROW)’s new advocacy toolkit, authored by its Director, Dr Hannah Nazri, in collaboration with the Malaysia chapter of the Asia Network to End FGM/C.

Developed with a focus on the Malaysian context, the toolkit brings together workshop approaches, legal perspectives, medical considerations, and cross-sector best practices to support evidence-based efforts to end Type 4 Female Ge***al Cutting.

This initiative is supported by the Canada Fund for Local Initiatives Malaysia.
