The Prodigy V2 is the successor to The Prodigy. The Prodigy V2 is a hybrid machine accommodating both standard needles and Stigma cartridges. Stigma cartridges are unique and completely different to any other cartridge on the market. Please note that a wide range of brand new Stigma cartridges with over 70 configurations will be available August 2016! The Prodigy V2 can be adjusted from very soft to very hard; or anywhere in between depending on your preference. This machine is for artists who like to adjust the give and want to be able to change motors and stroke excenters. Completely customisable, the Prodigy V2 is a killer shader! For reference, the Prodigy V2 Body is also pictured here with the 6W MotorPlug and the Stigma Aluminium Click Grip in black / red. Additionally, it is also pictured with a standard needle and tube, to show how it can work with both, being hybrid. Artists tend to prefer stronger motors for lining and weaker motors for shading. Stronger motors with a lot of Watts and torque dont bog down easily and are therefore better for lining and tough work. Weaker motors bog down easily, are not so aggressive and deliver better results when shading. What can you tell me about the 4.5W V2 MotorPlug? The 4.5W V2 MotorPlug has more than enough power to run Stigma-Rotary® machines. It is one of the strongest motors you can find on rotaries; it will effortlessly push configurations of up to 50 needles. Advantages of the 4.5W V2 MotorPlug: it is lighter and smaller than the 10 Watt MotorPlug; it weighs only 44 grams. It has both clipcord and RCA connections. It is good for everything; shading, blending, layering, colour packing and lining. And how about the 6W MotorPlug? The 6W PowerDrive is the most powerful motor at its size, it is nice and compact with RCA connection only; it weighs only 43 grams. It is good for everything; shading, blending, layering, colour packing and lining. There is an RCA to Clipcord Converter available if you wish to use a clip cord connection on the 6W MotorPlug. So why buy the 10W MotorPlug with twice the power? The 10W MotorPlug has a different feeling and performance; it has much more torque so it doesn¡¯t stall out (bog down), so the speed of the machine stays constant. Pivoting Stainless Steel Drive-bar -The Drivebar will work with our RPG Cartridge Grips, both disposable and autoclavable, along with the Hawk screw on adjustable grips. The pivoting DriveBar pivots on its end join self aligning to with the cartridge when the machine is active. This stabilizes the bar and needle without the need of bushings causing additional friction and noise. Reinvented Vise Design - All new patent pending MultiVise System accepts conventional backstem and screw-on style cartridge grips without the need for adaptors.
