Listening is one of the essential skills in Visceral Manipulation and a technique that requires continuous practice and refinement.

Without effective listening, we may focus only on the area where symptoms are present and miss the primary restriction that may be influencing the rest of the body.

The body is constantly adapting. A significant restriction in one area can contribute to compensations elsewhere, creating a chain of adaptations and dysfunctions over time.

This is why listening is so important—it helps the practitioner identify where the body is drawing attention, rather than simply treating where the patient feels pain.

Don’t just follow the pain. Listen to the body and look for the restriction that may be driving the pattern.

✳️✳️Visceral Manipulation 1 (VM1) is the entry point into the fascinating world of Visceral Manipulation.✳️✳️

🥵Pain is not always just about muscles and joints.💪
Sometimes, persistent or recurring pain may involve deeper relationships between the organs, nerves, fascia and musculoskeletal system.

➡️ In VM1, you’ll begin to understand how restrictions in the visceral system may influence movement, tension and pain patterns—and why treating only the area where your client feels pain may not always provide the results you are looking for.

Through this course, you will learn to:

📍Understand the anatomical and functional relationships between the viscera and musculoskeletal system
📍Develop specific assessment and palpation skills
📍Recognise how visceral restrictions may contribute to pain and movement dysfunction
📍Learn gentle manual techniques to address these restrictions
📍Begin looking beyond the painful area to understand the body as an interconnected system

📌Expand the way you assess.
📌Expand the way you treat.
📌Look beyond muscles and joints.

VM1 is where your journey into Visceral Manipulation begins.

NM1 — NEURAL MANIPULATION 1

10–12 September 2026 | Malaysia

🇲🇾 SPECIAL EXTENSION FOR LOCAL PHYSIOTHERAPISTS

Good news! We have decided to continue offering the Early Bird Rate for local physiotherapists and therapists who would like to join our upcoming NM1 training.

Physiotherapists — are you looking beyond muscles and joints when treating persistent pain?

Following trauma, whiplash or injury, the nervous system and its surrounding tissues may also be involved. Yet neural and dural restrictions are not always part of a conventional musculoskeletal assessment.

NM1 – Neural Manipulation 1 is a specialized 3-day professional course that expands your clinical perspective beyond conventional musculoskeletal assessment.

The course explores the relationships between:

• Cranium & spinal framework
• Dura and neural tissues
• Peripheral nerves & surrounding connective tissues
• Musculoskeletal system
• Autonomic nervous system

A key concept in NM1 is:

The location of pain does not always tell us where the primary restriction is.

Traumatic neural involvement may not produce a clear or predictable clinical picture. Instead, patients may present with a broad spectrum of symptoms that cannot always be fully explained by muscles and joints alone.

Through specific assessment and gentle manual techniques, NM1 introduces another dimension to clinical reasoning — considering the nervous system as part of the whole-body picture.

PARTICULARLY RELEVANT FOR THERAPISTS MANAGING:

✓ Whiplash & trauma
✓ Persistent or recurring pain
✓ Neck & spinal conditions
✓ Post-traumatic musculoskeletal symptoms
✓ Complex cases that are not responding as expected

📌📌Take Your Pain Management Skills to the Next Level — NM1📌📌

One of the most valuable skills you can equip yourself with as a manual therapist is learning to understand and work with the nervous system in pain and trauma.

Neural Manipulation 1 (NM1) – Neuromeningeal Manipulation: An Integrative Approach to Trauma introduces a gentle and precise approach to assessing and treating restrictions involving the neural and meningeal systems. The course explores how trauma can create restriction patterns not only locally, but throughout the body. (Barral Institute)

For therapists working with persistent pain, trauma-related dysfunction and complex musculoskeletal presentations, NM1 can add another important dimension to your clinical reasoning and hands-on treatment.

✳️VNANS & VNECC — Two Highly Anticipated Classes✳️

The VNANS and VNECC classes are among our most anticipated training programs for manual therapists who want to deepen their understanding of the autonomic nervous system.

These courses equip therapists with knowledge related to Polyvagal Theory and autonomic regulation, together with specific manual therapy techniques designed to support clients presenting with signs of autonomic nervous system dysregulation.

Dysregulation of the autonomic nervous system may be associated with a wide range of health challenges, including persistent stress responses, anxiety, altered inflammatory regulation, sleep disturbances, digestive symptoms, chronic pain, and other complex conditions.

The training helps therapists look beyond individual symptoms and develop a broader understanding of how the brain, nervous system, body, and internal physiological responses interact.

➡️ Missed VNANS this year?

For those who were unable to attend the VNANS class this year, the next opportunity is expected to be in 2028.

📅 Final dates will be announced once confirmed.

Stay updated through our website for the latest course schedule and registration information.
