Bringing Yoga into the Workplace ✨

Another meaningful session last week with the team at Boehringer Ingelheim, introducing mindful breathing and movement practices to support employee wellbeing.

After more than two decades of teaching yoga, I've observed how modern lifestyles have changed the way we move and carry ourselves. With increasing hours spent on computers, phones, and desks, many people are losing awareness of posture, breathing patterns, and core stability. This is especially noticeable around the pelvis, spine, and trunk—the foundation of how we move and function every day.

Through yoga, we can begin to reconnect with our bodies, develop greater awareness of alignment, and cultivate a stronger connection between movement and breath. When we learn to move with awareness, it creates a foundation that supports not only yoga practice but any physical activity we choose to pursue.

I was encouraged by the team's enthusiasm, openness, and willingness to learn. Small moments of awareness can often lead to meaningful changes over time.

👏👏👏 Let's Welcome Teacher Jenny

Teacher Jenny first discovered yoga in 2003 when she accompanied her sister to class. What started as a simple act of support soon became the beginning of a lifelong path of practice and teaching.

Turning 60 next year, she continues to inspire with her strength, consistency, and vibrant energy on the mat. Her passion for sharing yoga remains deeply alive.

She teaches flow yoga with a calm, grounded presence, guiding students through mindful movement, steady breath, and accessible practice. Her teaching reflects her belief that yoga is about awareness, not achievement, meeting ourselves exactly where we are.

A New Chapter for bE Present

Our community has been growing, and with that growth comes a beautiful new step forward.

bE Present by Chris Wong Yoga will be relocating to a new studio — a bigger space where we can continue to practice, breathe, and grow together as a community.

Our intention remains the same:
to create a safe and welcoming place for yoga practice and wellness.

We are currently preparing the space and expect the new studio to be ready around the end of April or May. More updates will be shared soon.

A quick note for our students:
• Expired credits will not be carried forward
• All active packages will be automatically transferred to the new studio

Thank you for being part of this journey with us. I truly look forward to sharing this new chapter of bE Present with all of you.

This series means a lot to me.
After almost two decades of teaching, I still feel deeply called to teach Experiential Anatomy & Hands-On Adjustment — not because I have all the answers, but because I’ve made many observations, mistakes, and learned to listen better over time.

I’ve seen how different every body truly is.
How “going deeper” can sometimes take people further away from themselves.
How touch, when done without clarity or consent, can leave an impact — even on teachers.

This course was never about perfect adjustments.
It was about awareness, intention, respect, and care.

To this group — thank you for trusting the process, the questions, the pauses, and the learning. You gave me the opportunity to grow alongside you.

I hope you leave not just with skills,
but with sensitivity, clarity, and the confidence to teach people how to feel — not just how to look.

Ultimately, the more you know, the more you don't know. So, keep learning

Module 2 Recap | Hips & Legs

In Module 2, we explored why the hips & legs are the foundation of how we stand, move, and practise yoga safely.

Key takeaways:
• The hip joint and shoulder joint are both ball-and-socket joints, but they serve the body in very different ways — the shoulder prioritises mobility, while the hip balances mobility with stability and weight-bearing.
• Hip movement and ankle mobility directly affect the knees — when hips or ankles don’t do their job, the knees often take on unnecessary stress.
• Many modern bodies lack active hip extension, which impacts walking, standing poses, backbends, and transitions, often leading to compensation in the lower back or knees.

This module wasn’t just about learning anatomy, but feeling how it shows up in your own body and teaching.
