Prince Court Medical Centre was proud to partner with Motherhood for Parentcraft Class 2026, an insightful and hands-on programme designed to help parents-to-be prepare for the journey ahead.

Led by our team of specialists, including Dr. Kirshanti Purushothman, Consultant Obstetrician & Gynaecologist; Dr. Agnes Tan, Consultant Paediatrician & Neonatologist and Dr. Wan Aizat, Consultant Anaesthesiologist, parents gained practical insights into pregnancy, labour, delivery and newborn care.

At Prince Court, our care goes beyond delivery. With a Special Care Nursery (SCN), fully equipped Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) and round-the-clock specialist support, we’re here to care for both parents and baby every step of the way.

We are honoured to welcome Dr John Emmanuel Gilbert Fernandez, Consultant Paediatric Surgeon, to Prince Court Medical Centre, further strengthening our advanced paediatric surgery capabilities.

Dr John Emmanuel Gilbert Fernandez obtained his Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) from Manipal International University in 2007 and completed his Master of Paediatric Surgery at the University of Malaya in 2018. Following international fellowship training at the Princess Máxima Center for Paediatric Oncology and Wilhelmina Children’s Hospital in the Netherlands, he brings focused expertise in paediatric surgical oncology, neonatal surgery, paediatric gastrointestinal surgery, and advanced minimally invasive procedures.

His addition further strengthens Prince Court’s growing paediatric capabilities in comprehensive inpatient and outpatient care, reflecting our continued commitment to safe, precise, and patient-centred care.

We are honoured to welcome Dr Anu Ratha Gopal, Consultant Pediatric Cardiologist, to Prince Court Medical Centre, further strengthening our advanced paediatric capabilities.

Dr Anu Ratha obtained her Medical Degree from the University of Malaya in 2001, achieved Membership of the Royal College of Paediatrics and Child Health (UK) in 2007, and completed her Paediatric Cardiology fellowship through the Ministry of Health Malaysia and the National Heart Institute (IJN).

With subspecialty expertise in cardiac imaging, including transoesophageal echocardiography (TEE), cardiac CT, and fetal cardiology, Dr Anu has a particular interest in the antenatal diagnosis and comprehensive assessment of congenital heart disease. Her fetal cardiology practice focuses on detailed fetal cardiac evaluations, early recognition of suspected congenital heart defects, and dedicated counselling and coordinated care for families throughout pregnancy and beyond. This enables timely delivery planning and seamless continuity of care from the antenatal period through birth, infancy, childhood, and adolescence.

Her practice also encompasses preventive cardiology for children and adolescents, focusing on the early identification and management of cardiovascular risk factors to promote healthy long-term cardiovascular development. Supported by her certifications in Lifestyle Medicine and Culinary Medicine, Dr Anu offers a holistic, preventive approach that integrates personalised guidance on nutrition, physical activity, and healthy lifestyle habits for young patients and their families.

Her addition further strengthens Prince Court’s paediatric and cardiology capabilities across comprehensive inpatient and outpatient services, reflecting a continued commitment to safe, precise, and patient-centred care.

We are honoured to welcome Dr Norazila Abdul Rahim, Consultant Ear, Nose and Throat (ENT) Surgeon, to Prince Court Medical Centre, further strengthening our advanced ENT surgery capabilities.

Dr Norazila Abdul Rahim holds an MB B*h BAO from Ireland and a Master of Otorhinolaryngology, Head and Neck Surgery from the University of Malaya, complemented by fellowship training in Laryngology, Voice, and Sleep Apnea at UKM and an observership in Laryngology, Voice, and Swallowing Disorders in Luxembourg. Having served as Head of Department of ORL-HNS at UiTM's Faculty of Medicine and Hospital Al-Sultan Abdullah, she brings specialized expertise in complex voice, airway, swallowing, and sleep apnea conditions.

Her addition further strengthens Prince Court’s growing ear, nose, and throat capabilities in comprehensive inpatient and outpatient care, reflecting our continued commitment to safe, precise, and patient-centred care.

Prince Court Medical Centre has received the Premier Award for Hospital Commitment to Baby-Friendly Hospital Initiative (BFHI) & First-Time Baby-Friendly Hospital Initiative (BFHI) Recognition Award under the Baby-Friendly Hospital Initiative at the Ministry of Health’s National World Breastfeeding Week Celebration.

For us, the recognition reflects the work our maternity teams put in every day to help mothers begin breastfeeding with the right guidance and feel more confident as they prepare to go home.
