她拥有丰富的跨文化经验，曾居住七个国家，拜访二十多个国家，并在其中十二个国家服务。回国后，曾在诗巫从事辅导与心理治疗，经常受到各团体或机构和学院邀请公开讲座、主持讲座、工作访、培训等，近两年来多达100场以上；此外也受到本州各大中英报章以及电台的专访，针对社会上所发生的重大事件发表即时的回应与评论。每个月平均看各案多于六十个小时。
目前，她在Timberland醫療中心 (古晉) 擔任註冊辅导和心理治療師，並在Borneo醫療中心 (古晉), 和每月一次在Rejang醫療中心 (诗巫)。
Having experience in staying in 7 countries, visiting more than 20 countries and provided service in 12 of the countries, Joyce Lu is well exposed to various cultures. Right after returning to Malaysia, she worked in Sibu as a counsellor and psychotherapist. She had been frequently invited to present talks and seminars by local associations and universities. In exact, more than 100 talks and seminars are conducted in the recent 2 years. Besides, she is often an interviewee for the newspaper of different languages, regarding on her opinion and response for issues that happened in our society. Currently, she runs her business in the Timberland Medical Centre (Kuching) as a registered counsellor and psychotherapist, and visiting clinic in Borneo Medical Centre (Kuching), and Rejang Medical Centre (Sibu) on a monthly basis.
