Swollen lymph nodes
************************

What are swollen lymph nodes?

When you’re not feeling so great, like you’re coming down with something, you may notice some swelling on the sides of your neck or anywhere on your body or your armpit, or your knees etc. Those lumps probably feel soft and tender to the touch — and may even hurt a little.

Swollen lymph nodes (or what doctors call lymph adenopathy) are common and are actually a good thing. The swelling in these pea- or bean-sized lymph nodes are one of your body’s natural reactions to illness or infection. That tells doctors that your body’s healthy and robust immune system is working to clear away infection and/or invading viruses or bacteria.

Many people call them swollen glands ― even though they’re really not glands, but part of your lymphatic system. One of your body’s lesser known systems, it’s in charge of balancing your fluid levels.

Your swollen glands act like filters that help your body get rid of germs, cells or other foreign matter that passes through your lymph fluid (a clear or slightly yellowish fluid made up of white blood cells, proteins and fats).

And when you think of swollen glands, you most likely think of swelling in your neck. But the lymph nodes in your groin, under your chin and your armpits can swell too. You can even move them slightly with your fingers.

Lymph nodes that are around 1/2 inch or bigger aren't normal. They shouldn't feel hard or rubbery, and you should be able to move them. The skin over them should not be red, irritated, or warm. And the swelling should go away within a couple of weeks.

The most common reasons lymph nodes swell include: infections, such as skin infections, ear infection, or sinus infections. exposure to allergens. injury or irritation to the skin, such as from recent orthodontic work.

What are lymph nodes?

The lymphatic system consists of nodes and ducts spread throughout the body. They bring the lymph [the tissue fluid surrounding the cells, which contains white blood cells (lymphocytes), fluid from the intestines (chyle), and some red blood cells] back into the circulation through the veins. Lymph contains a concentration of infectious and other foreign substances (antigens).

Lymph nodes are small clusters of cells, surrounded by a capsule. Ducts go into and out of them. The cells in lymph nodes are lymphocytes, which produce antibodies (protein particles that bind foreign substances including infectious particles) and macrophages which digest the debris. They act as the "cleaner" cells of the body.

The lymph nodes are a major site where foreign substances and infectious agents interact with the cells of the immune system. A major cluster of the lymph nodes is the spleen, which, apart from other functions, also helps fight infections and responds to foreign substances in the body.

CranioSacral Therapy

Our main service is CranioSacral Therapy - a gentle therapy that supports stimulation and balancing of the parasympathetic nervous system, which is the main regulator for the whole body internal systems. At the same time, the client will have a deep calming effect as it works at a deep level of the autonomic nervous system.

Tonsillitis
My client was asked by her doctor every year to surgery her tonsils from when she was only 5 yo! Now she is already 25+ and doctor still asked her to remove her tonsils! After only 1 Lymphatic Therapy treatments, she no longer has the tonsil pain or any inflammation. This is because Tonsils are Lymphatic Organ, hence only a trained Advance Lymphatic Therapist can do this treatment.

Tonsils

Tonsils are lymphoid tissue aggregates situated near the entrance of the digestive and respiratory tracts and play a key role in our immune system. They act as a front-line defense forming the initial immunological response to inhaled or ingested pathogens

What are the three main functions of tonsils?

The tonsils are part of the body's immune system. Because of their location at the throat and palate, they can stop germs entering the body through the mouth or the nose. The tonsils also contain a lot of white blood cells, which are responsible for killing germs

What do tonsils have to do with the lymphatic system?

Tonsils are lumps of tissue at the back of the throat. There are two of them, one on each side. Along with the adenoids, tonsils are part of the lymphatic system. The lymphatic system clears away infection and keeps body fluids in balance.

Can tonsils affect lymph nodes?

Overview. Tonsillitis is inflammation of the tonsils, two oval-shaped pads of tissue at the back of the throat — one tonsil on each side. Signs and symptoms of tonsillitis include swollen tonsils, sore throat, difficulty swallowing and tender lymph nodes on the sides of the neck.

Why is it not good to remove tonsils?

Tonsillectomy, although a common surgery, has earned a bad reputation for several reasons. A few studies have reported that tonsillectomies and adenoidectomies are associated with higher levels of allergic, respiratory, and infectious diseases later in life.

I am a Bodywork Therapist specialized in CranioSacral Therapist

Abliss Therapy Center is a center well known for assisting in reducing chronic pain in any part of the body or joints e.g. shoulders pain, knee pain, neck pain, ankle pain, tennis elbow, metacarpal tunnel pain, fingers pain, headaches, migraines, etc.

Our main service is CranioSacral Therapy - a gentle therapy that supports stimulation and balancing of the parasympathetic nervous system, which is the main regulator for the whole body internal systems. At the same time, the client will have a deep calming and relaxation effect as it works at a deep level of the autonomic nervous system. The autonomic nervous system sends automatic motor impulses to visceral organs and all the nerves. Hence pain will be reduced.

What is CranioSacral Therapy?

CranioSacral therapy (CST) is a gentle, hands-on therapy that aims to relieve pain and dysfunction by addressing imbalances in the craniosacral system and release tension in the central nervous system. Practitioners apply minimal pressure to the skull, spine, and sacrum to optimize the flow of cerebrospinal fluid and relax connected fascia tissue.

Therapeutic Goals:
By gently manipulating these areas, CST aims to release restrictions, improve the flow of cerebrospinal fluid, and promote the whole body's natural healing processes.

Lovely testimony ❤️

So glad to have helped this lady who had 2 strokes and still unable to walk as much, and need walker and wheelchair.

Feedback from her after 1 treatment, she is able to walk with her walker double the distance, with more stamina and energy, no more breathlessness.

I had released her lungs tension, so she could breath much better! I also released her feet and ankles ligaments and nerves, so she could walk better and more normal and not limping!

She came with 3 of her friends, who all of them heard about her first treatment and had improved so much better!

Thank you for trusting in my therapy services Abliss Therapy Center !

Aunty still doing well after treatments!

Auntie came and has so much release for her breathing and respiratory issues!

Did Pelvic, Respiratory, Thoracic inlet, Hyoid diaphragm ...... All needed a lot of time to release ❣️

It takes time to listen to the body and respond to what it needs.

Loved it when a regular customer comes with improvement every session 👍 and they understand that it takes time 🌹

CranioSacral Therapy is amazing 😍
