For patients about to undergo cancer treatment, the thought of hair loss can be daunting.

While it is a common side effect, the extent of hair loss can vary significantly depending on the treatment and the individual. For some patients, scalp cooling may be an option to help reduce chemotherapy-induced hair loss.

At OncoCare, the Paxman Scalp Cooling System is available for eligible patients. TAG or SHARE this post with a loved one who may benefit from this information.

Starting cancer treatment soon? Speak to us about what to expect and whether scalp cooling may be suitable for you:

Cancer is often thought of as a single tumour, but its ability to spread through metastasis is what can make it more challenging to treat. Understanding how this process happens is an important reminder of why paying attention to your health and acting on unusual symptoms matters.

In this video, we break down how metastasis happens. If you learned something new from it, SHARE it with your loved ones today to encourage early detection.

Family history is more than a record of the past. It can help inform the future. ๐Ÿง‘โ€๐Ÿง‘โ€๐Ÿง’โ€๐Ÿง’๐Ÿ”

While not all cancers are inherited, knowing your family's medical history can provide valuable insights into your own health. For those at higher risk, genetic testing and counselling can provide greater clarity and help guide appropriate screening plans.

Have you ever spoken with your family about your medical history? Share this post with them to start the conversation today.
