Delegates visit to Xiamen! We had the privilege of visiting the First Affliated Hospital of Xiamen University (厦门大学附属第一医院) and Xiamen University (厦门大学)—two institutions that reflect excellence in healthcare and education.
Established in 1937, the hospital has grown into a major medical center, supported by over 4,000 staff, with 2,500 inpatient beds and approximately 30,000 outpatient visits daily. Its scale and operational efficiency are genuinely impressive.
Founded in 1921 by renowned philanthropist Mr. Tan Kah Kee(陈嘉庚）, Xiamen University stands as one of China’s most prestigious institutions. It houses 34 faculties and schools, with a vibrant academic community of over 48,000 students.
