In theosophy and anthroposophy, the Akashic Chronicle is a compendium of all human events, thoughts, words, emotions and intentions that have occurred in the past, present or future. Theosophists believe that they are encoded in a non-physical plane of existence known as the mental plane. Akasha is a Sanskrit word that means heaven, space or ether, it is the energetic substance from which all life (soul) is formed. Akashic is a plane of cosmic consciousness that acts as an archive, covering everything that has occurred, occurs and will occur in the universe. The individual Akashic Records of the soul accompany it in all its incarnations, record thoughts, words, emotions and actions generated by each of the lived experiences. Buddhists refer to them as "Memory of Nature".
