ABA CROSS Namibia

ABA CROSS Namibia ABA CROSS is a therapeutic carrying system that supports the caregiver's back, shoulders and posture and stabilises the child in a physiologic position.

It is available in three sizes; babies, toddlers and big and heavy children with disabilities. Janina Fürup, a physiotherapist specialised in babies and toddlers, is the founder of ABA CROSS. She is supporting local NGOs for children with disabilities in Namibia since 2015. Witnessing the struggle faced by families while transporting their non-walking children led her to the idea of ABA CROSS. Fam

ilies with children with special needs in Namibia often don't have wheelchairs or any other equipment. Even if they have, they can't use them due to inefficiency to the infrastructure and the public transport system. ABA CROSS is a therapeutic alternative of carrying, allowing parents to transport the children without the use of a wheelchair. Families with non-disabled children can use ABA CROSS as well, when looking for a more comfortable, more therapeutic and long-lasting way of carrying.
