2 DEAD, 35 INJURED IN GEORGIA BLOCK PARTY SHOOTING.

A homecoming-weekend block party in Vienna, Georgia, turned deadly early Sunday after gunfire erupted in a neighborhood gathering attended by more than 1,000 people.

The Georgia Bureau of Investigation said shots were fired at about 1:25 a.m. on October 4 on Pine Street. Deputies were already patrolling the area when the shooting began. Two people were found dead, while 35 others were injured and taken to hospitals.

Authorities said gunfire was reported at at least two locations about a block apart, with more than 50 shots reportedly fired. Some of the injured suffered gunshot wounds, while others were hurt while trying to escape the chaos.

The two people killed were identified as Jaquevion Jackson, 21, and Macaleb Jackson, 23. The injured ranged in age from 14 to 51, according to authorities.

As of the latest reports, no suspect has been publicly identified and no motive has been established. The GBI investigation remains active and ongoing.

Flydubai Co-Pilot Reportedly Planned to Crash Plane Into Israel.

New details emerging from the investigation into the September 30 Flydubai incident are shedding more light on what the co-pilot allegedly intended to do.

According to two Israeli officials with knowledge of the investigation, the Omani co-pilot told UAE interrogators that he had planned the attack before he was hired by Flydubai. Another source said he intended to crash the aircraft into Ben Gurion Airport near Tel Aviv.

Israeli media reports have also cited intelligence indicating that Tel Aviv skyscrapers were considered as a possible target. The reported plan was to attack the captain, take control of the aircraft and crash it before Israeli fighter jets could intervene.

The flight, carrying passengers from Dubai to Tel Aviv, was forced into an emergency landing in Saudi Arabia after the co-pilot attacked the captain. Passengers and crew eventually restrained him, preventing the aircraft from being used in the alleged attack.

Investigators are still examining the suspect's background, possible radicalisation and whether he acted entirely alone. Israeli officials have so far been examining the possibility of a lone-actor attack, rather than assuming he was directed by an organised group.

RUSSIA SAYS TWO UKRAINIAN CARGO VESSELS WERE STRUCK IN BLACK SEA.

Russia says its forces struck two Ukrainian cargo vessels in the Black Sea on October 5, as Moscow continues its intensified attacks on Ukrainian port infrastructure.

According to Russia's Defence Ministry, one dry-cargo vessel carrying military equipment was struck, while another vessel transporting military supplies was hit south of Odesa.

Russia also says it targeted fuel-storage facilities at the port of Chornomorsk and the Kochetok electrical substation in the Kharkiv region.

President Donald Trump explained to the crowd in Durant, Oklahoma, how bad weather nearly forced him to cancel his appearance.

Trump said he was told that the plane and helicopter could not go to Oklahoma because of the weather.

Instead of cancelling, he asked about travelling by car.

“How fast does the Beast travel?”

According to Trump, he was told the presidential limousine could travel close to 100 miles per hour.

His response?
“Get your asses in that car. We’re going to Oklahoma.”

Trump then made the roughly 85-mile journey from Denton, Texas, to Durant, Oklahoma, by motorcade.

The trip was completed at high speed, with reports from the traveling press saying vehicles in the motorcade approached 98 mph at one point. AP likewise reported that the convoy occasionally approached 100 mph.

Trump eventually arrived in Durant and addressed the crowd, nearly two hours later than originally planned.

A growing student protest movement across France has intensified, with clashes between demonstrators and police reported in several cities.

The protests, which began in the Paris region in September, have spread nationwide. Students are protesting issues including overcrowded classrooms, teacher shortages, deteriorating school buildings and concerns over education funding.
