🧠💚 EMOTIONAL INTELLIGENCE IN DAILY LIFE

Being emotionally intelligent doesn't mean you never get angry, sad, frustrated, or overwhelmed.

It means learning how to understand your emotions and manage your response.

Try these 5 habits:

🔎 Name it — What am I actually feeling?

⏸️ Pause — Take a breath before reacting.

🧠 Know your triggers — What situations bring out strong emotions in you?

❤️ Practice empathy — Try to understand what others may be feeling.

🌿 Choose your response — You may not control the situation, but you can work on your response.

✨ Remember:

You don't have to ignore your emotions.

You don't have to be controlled by them either.

Feel it. Understand it. Manage it. Respond wisely.

🧠💚 EMOTIONAL INTELLIGENCE IN DAILY LIFE

How well do you understand your emotions?
Emotional intelligence is not about never getting angry, sad, frustrated, or overwhelmed.
It is about learning to recognize what you are feeling, understand why you feel it, and respond in a healthier way.

Here are 5 simple ways to practice emotional intelligence every day:
🔎 1. Name your emotion
Instead of saying, "I'm fine," pause and ask yourself: What am I actually feeling?
Am I angry, disappointed, anxious, tired, hurt, or overwhelmed?

⏸️ 2. Pause before you react
When emotions are high, give yourself a moment before responding. A few deep breaths can prevent words or actions you may later regret.

🧠 3. Understand your triggers
He has been saying his famous 💯 situations, words, or behaviours that repeatedly make you upset. Understanding your triggers helps you prepare healthier responses.

❤️ 4. Practice empathy
Before judging someone's reaction, try to understand what they may be experiencing. Listen to understand, not just to reply.
P
🌿 5. Choose your response
You may not always control what happens, but you can learn to control how you respond.

Remember:
Feeling your emotions is human. Learning to manage them is a skill.
Your emotional wellbeing affects your relationships, decisions, stress levels, and overall quality of life.
Take a pause today. Check in with yourself. Name what you feel. Then choose your response.

THE IMPORTANCE OF REGULAR CHECK-UPS 🩺❤️

You don’t have to wait until you feel sick before checking your health.

Many health problems can develop quietly, without obvious symptoms. Regular health checks can help you identify potential problems early, understand your health trends, and take action before small concerns become bigger ones.

🔎 What should you check?

🩺 Blood Pressure (BP) – Regular monitoring helps detect high blood pressure early.

🩸 Blood Sugar – Important for identifying diabetes or prediabetes, especially if you have risk factors.

⚖️ BMI & Weight – Helps you monitor changes in your body weight and overall health.

❤️ Cholesterol – Helps assess your cardiovascular risk.

🧪 Other blood tests – Your healthcare professional may recommend tests based on your age, symptoms, medical history and risk factors.

🎗️ Age-appropriate screenings – Breast, cervical, prostate, colorectal and other screenings should be done according to recommended guidelines.

📅 How often?

There is no single schedule that fits everyone. Some checks may be done every 6–12 months, while others may be needed more or less frequently depending on your age, health history and risk factors.

👉 Don’t wait for an emergency to start paying attention to your health.

Make preventive health care part of your routine.

Your health is your greatest investment. ❤️

🩺 THE IMPORTANCE OF REGULAR CHECK-UPS

When was the last time you checked your blood pressure or blood sugar?

Feeling well doesn't always mean everything is well. Some conditions, including high blood pressure and diabetes, can develop silently.
That is why regular health check-ups matter.
A routine check-up can help you:
✅ Detect potential health problems early
✅ Monitor important health indicators
✅ Understand your personal risk factors
✅ Track changes over time
✅ Get timely professional advice
✅ Take action before problems become serious
🔎 What should you check?
🩺 Blood Pressure: Monitor regularly, especially if you have risk factors for hypertension.
🩸 Blood Sugar: Screening can help identify diabetes or prediabetes.
⚖️ BMI & Weight: Track changes and discuss significant changes with a healthcare professional.
❤️ Cholesterol: Useful for assessing cardiovascular risk.
🧪 Other tests: Depending on your age, symptoms, family history and risk factors, your healthcare provider may recommend additional tests.
🎗️ Recommended screenings: Cancer and other age-appropriate screenings should be discussed with your healthcare professional.
📅 How often should you check?
Not every test needs to be done every month or every year. Your schedule should be personalised to your age, health status, family history and risk factors.
For some people, routine checks may be appropriate every 6–12 months, while others may need more frequent monitoring.
The goal isn't to test everything all the time. The goal is to know what your body needs and when.
❤️ Prevention today can support a healthier tomorrow.
Don't wait until your body sends an emergency signal.
Make regular check-ups part of your wellness routine.

🌿 WEEKEND MOTIVATION | Your Health Is a Daily Responsibility

God gives us the gift of life, but it is our daily responsibility to build and guard the foundation of our health. ❤️

We cannot control everything that happens in life, but we can make intentional choices about how we care for the body we have been given.

This weekend, take a moment to ask yourself:

🥗 Am I nourishing my body well?
💧 Am I drinking enough water?
🚶 Am I moving my body regularly?
😴 Am I getting enough rest?
🧘 Am I making time to protect my peace?
🩺 Am I paying attention to the signals my body is giving me?

Your health is not something to think about only when you become sick.

Prevention starts with the choices we make every day.

Take care of yourself. Take care of your family. And don't take the gift of good health for granted.

🙏 May this weekend bring you rest, renewal, and the wisdom to make healthier choices.

🩺 Keep Your Child Healthy This Holiday
School holidays are meant for fun, learning, and family time—not frequent hospital visits. Many common childhood illnesses can be prevented with simple daily habits.

Here are five ways to protect your child's health this holiday:
🧼 1. Teach Proper Hand Washing
Encourage children to wash their hands with soap and clean water:
Before eating
After using the toilet
After playing outside
After coughing or sneezing
Proper hand hygiene helps prevent diarrhoea, colds, flu, and other infections.

🍽️ 2. Practice Good Food Hygiene
Wash fruits and vegetables before eating.
Cook food thoroughly.
Cover leftover food.
Avoid buying food from unhygienic environments.

💧 3. Drink Safe Water
Children lose a lot of fluids while playing. Make sure they drink clean, safe water throughout the day to stay hydrated and prevent waterborne diseases.

🦟 4. Protect Against Mosquito Bites
Mosquitoes can spread diseases such as malaria.
Protect your family by:
Sleeping under insecticide-treated mosquito nets.
Removing stagnant water around your home.
Wearing protective clothing in the evenings.
Using child-safe mosquito repellents where appropriate.

🏥 5. Know When to Visit the Hospital
Seek medical care immediately if your child has:
A persistent high fever
Difficulty breathing
Severe diarrhoea or repeated vomiting
Convulsions
Extreme weakness or unusual drowsiness
Early treatment can prevent serious complications.

🌿 Remember: Prevention is easier, safer, and often less expensive than treatment.
