I'm just stopping by with a quick heart-to-heart before we all get busy preparing our Sunday proteins! 🍗 We all want our meals to taste amazing, but it’s so important to be mindful of how we cook what’s in our pots.
While a well-seasoned, crispy piece of meat is delicious, we have to remember that too much salt and excessive oil are silent, fast killers.
Excessive Salt: High sodium intake is directly linked to high blood pressure, heart disease, and kidney issues.
Too Much Oil: Deep-frying or using heavy fats adds unnecessary calories and "bad" cholesterol, which clogs our arteries over time.
Better Ways to Prep Protein:
Here are a few quick tips for your Sunday meal prep:👇
Flavor with Herbs: Use garlic, ginger, onions, and natural herbs ( curry, tyme) to give your meat a "kick" without reaching for the salt shaker.
Try Other Methods: Instead of deep-frying, try grilling, roasting, or air-frying your protein. You get that great texture with a fraction of the oil!
Note : Boil all protein First or Steaming boiling your meat with natural spices before a light sear keeps it juicy and reduces the need for heavy frying.
