“Not every soap that makes you ‘bright’ is actually taking care of your skin 😭😂”
There’s a big difference between a properly formulated soap and what I call the “just pour everything inside” type of soap. 😂
Some people will take a soap base, add bleaching oils, add different powders, add another oil because TikTok said it works, add one more powder because “customers like fast results”... and before you know it, the soap is doing chemistry practical on your skin. 😭
The problem is not simply that ingredients are being mixed. The problem is mixing strong ingredients without understanding what each one does, how much should be used, or whether they should even be combined.
That “3 days and you’re already 5 shades lighter” result is not always something to celebrate. Overly harsh products can irritate the skin, damage the skin barrier, cause uneven pigmentation, sensitivity and other skin problems.
With properly made skincare, every ingredient should have a purpose. The oils, powders and extracts are carefully selected, measured and combined at appropriate levels. You’re not supposed to just throw everything inside because it has “whitening” written on the packet. 😂
And please, natural does not mean pour anything anyhow either. Natural ingredients still need proper formulation and the right quantity.
The goal should not be:
“How white can I become before Monday?” 😭
The goal should be:
healthy-looking, even-toned skin that you can actually maintain.
The pictures above are part of my own skin journey, and one thing I’ve learnt is that fast is not always better when it comes to your skin.
At Yinka Skincare, we believe in knowing why an ingredient is there, not just adding it because everybody else is adding it.
Healthy skin first. Even tone follows.
