Someone asked me how I manage my hormonal acne. This is the honest answer, and it starts further back than a product list.
Nobody tells you how expensive it is to be told to wash your face.
I have thrown out half-used bottles I could not afford in the first place. Cleansers, serums, spot treatments, the whole viral shelf. Every one of them bought with the same quiet hope, and every one of them abandoned about six weeks later when my skin did exactly what it always did and came back on schedule.
At some point I decided products just do not work on me. That conclusion felt reasonable. It was also completely wrong.
The products were fine. I had the order backwards. I was asking a cream to solve something that was happening in my bloodstream, and creams have never once been able to do that.
Hormonal acne with PCOS is not a hygiene problem or a discipline problem.
What changed was sitting in front of a doctor. Once the inside was handled, the same category of products I had written off started to work.
Please do not take my routine as a prescription. What was given to me was chosen for my body, my bloodwork, my history. I genuinely cannot remember the name of the tablets, and I would not put it here if I could. That conversation belongs to you and your doctor.
Swipe to slide five for what actually lives on my shelf now, and which one comes out on which day. The last one never leaves.
Save it. Then send it to the woman in your life who has been told, one more time, to just drink more water.
