⚽🏆 IDN CONFERENCE NOVELTY MATCH 2026 — THE NORTH STRIKES BACK! 🏆⚽

**FULL-TIME: NORTHERN NIGERIA DIETITIANS FC 3️⃣ – 0️⃣ SOUTHERN NIGERIA DIETITIANS FC

The whistle blows! And what a match it was! 🔥⚽

The IDN Novelty Match, a cherished tradition and one of the major side attractions of the Annual Scientific Conference, once again delivered excitement, laughter, camaraderie and, of course, a healthy dose of football rivalry between the Northern Nigeria Dietitians FC (NND FC) and the Southern Nigeria Dietitians FC (SND FC).

But this was more than just a football match…

It was REVENGE DAY! 😄🔥

After suffering a heavy defeat at the 2025 IDN Conference held at the National Orthopaedic Hospital, Igbobi, Lagos, the Northern Nigeria Dietitians FC returned to the pitch in 2026 with one mission:

REDEMPTION.

And they came prepared! 💪⚽

🎙️ KICK-OFF!

The SND FC, led by *National President, Bar. Ahmed Tajudeen, FIDN, alongside Dr. Bolanle Omowumi, FIDN, started with confidence. But the Northern side, under the leadership of **Dtn. Zaitun Mahmud, FIDN, Chairman, National Organizing Committee, had clearly done their homework.

The Northern FC came with the machinery, the strategy and the determination to reclaim their pride! 🔥

⏱️ HALF-TIME: NND FC 1️⃣ – 0️⃣ SND FC

One goal down, but the Southern side was still in the game.

Then came the second half…

And the North turned up the pressure! ⚡

The Southern defence struggled to contain the relentless attacks as NND FC found the back of the net again… and again!

THE NORTH HAS ANSWERED! 😄🔥

From the warm-up sessions to the opening whistle, from the tackles and cheers to the final whistle, and finally to the lifting of the coveted trophy, the 2026 Novelty Match was filled with unforgettable moments.

Beyond the scoreline, however, the real victory was friendship, unity, teamwork and professional camaraderie among Dietitians from across Nigeria. ❤️💚

Football may have produced a winner, but **Dietetics won the day! 👏🏽
