A lab report tells you where you fall against a broad reference range built from thousands of unrelated people.
A baseline is different. It is your own biomarkers - insulin, hs-CRP, etc - measured once, then re-measured at intervals so any future change gets compared against your starting point, not a stranger's average.
This matters more as you age because a number can sit 'within normal range' on paper while still representing a real, meaningful shift from where you personally started. The population range will miss it but your own baseline won't.
This is the quiet work behind every panel we run, not just telling you where you stand today, but building the record that shows where you're headed.
