In fact:
⚠️ Sugary drinks became MORE affordable in 62 countries.
⚠️ Beer is now MORE affordable in 56 countries, while spirits are MORE affordable in 67 countries.

Rising affordability means rising demand and rising harm.

For over three decades, ACOG Past President Haywood Brown, MD, FACOG, has built a distinguished career in education, clinical practice, and medical research. As one of few Black male ob-gyns, he keenly understands the importance of uplifting students of color and helping them see the value they bring to the field.

In a recent interview with ACOG for 2026, Dr. Brown emphasized the importance of mentoring Black medical students and setting an example for achieving excellence, following the examples set for him by his own mentors.
