In Nigeria, many of us believe that as long as we’re not feeling sick—no headache, no malaria, no obvious symptoms—then everything must be fine with our health.
Unfortunately, that isn’t always the case.
We often ignore the warning signs because we feel perfectly fine. But the absence of symptoms doesn’t necessarily mean the absence of a health problem.
You may not be experiencing the typical symptoms associated with conditions such as fibroids, arthritis, or kidney and liver problems, yet some health issues can develop silently without obvious signs, particularly when unhealthy lifestyle habits are involved.
Even if you don’t have malaria today, that alone doesn’t tell you everything about your overall health.
That’s why we need to normalize regular health check-ups. Prevention, early detection, and healthy lifestyle choices can go a long way in protecting our well-being.
Don’t wait until you feel sick before paying attention to your health. Know your health status. Get checked. Take care of yourself. ❤️
And remember, healthy living starts with the choices we make every day.
