The outreach was designed to improve awareness of diabetes and its complications while expanding access to essential screening services for people living with diabetes and other chronic conditions.
Participants received health education on diabetes prevention and management, diabetic foot care, and the importance of early detection of peripheral neuropathy. Through the use of the Vibrasense Neuropathy Screening Device, many participants had the opportunity to assess their nerve health and receive appropriate counselling and referrals.
Free blood pressure and blood glucose checks were also provided, helping participants better understand their health status and take proactive steps toward healthier lives.
We are especially grateful to the National Health Fellows, who joined us in supporting the outreach by providing free Hepatitis B and HIV screening, further expanding the impact of the programme and promoting a more comprehensive approach to community health.
