WE DIDN’T JUST PLANT TREES AND WALK AWAY.
Today, Community Health Unity and Progressive Initiative (CHUPI), in collaboration with the Bauchi State Environmental Protection Agency (BASEPA) and the good people of Mubell Estate Masuri, carried out a tree-planting exercise focused on creating a healthier and more comfortable environment.
We were deeply encouraged by the warm reception and strong support from the community. The people came out, participated, and showed genuine interest in the initiative.
But importantly, today was not just about putting seedlings into the ground.
CHUPI, BASEPA and members of the community also discussed how these trees will be sustained, protected and properly cared for after planting. We believe that planting a tree is only the beginning, but ensuring that it survives and grows is where the real responsibility lies.
Our Monitoring & Sustainability Team will continue to follow up on the planted seedlings, engage with residents and encourage proper care and protection of the trees.
We sincerely appreciate BASEPA, under the leadership of Dr. Mahmud Bose for providing the seedlings and supporting this initiative. We are grateful for the collaboration and for the confidence placed in CHUPI.
We also thank the people of Mubell Estate Masuri for welcoming us and standing with us.
Today, we planted trees.
Today, we strengthened community ownership.
Today, we strengthened partnership.
And most importantly, we planted with a plan for sustainability.
We sincerely thank God Almighty for making today possible and for granting us the strength, support and opportunity to contribute to a healthier and more sustainable environment.
And to every CHUPI member who showed up, worked, mobilized and contributed in one way or another, thank you.
May God Almighty bless everyone who contributed to making this possible and allow these seedlings to grow and serve generations to come. Amen🙏
Unity for Health, Progress for All.
