In preparation of our Operation Pad a Girl project, I visited more than 5 schools last week. 3 out of the 5 do not have toilets that students can use. Will they now have sanitary pad banks where girls can get pads?

This is why we are promoting menstrual hygiene through health education, we are advocating for toilets, washrooms, and sanitary pad banks

We need to teach girls and boys on menstrual health

We need to advocate for access to toilets with water, sounds basic but it is a missing infrastructure that is affecting health. Some people do not even drink enough water because there is no toilet.

We need to tell our health stories from the community point of view.

This year, you can support or adopt a girl child today with 2,000 naira monthly for her menstrual sanitary supplies.

2. I can pick my kids from school from time to time and hear their stories
3. Once I say I want to sleep, sleep completes the sentence

We need to empower both boys and girls with the right health information on menstrual health.

Last year, during the course of our menstrual health, boys kept asking why they were getting stationeries instead of condoms.

It begets the question on the narrative of our reproductive health projects.

This year, we will work with girls and boys on tackling PERIOD POVERTY.
