Good day our esteemed elders and caregivers π
As we grow older, our bodies need extra care and love.
Here are 5 key things every elderly person should remember:
**1. CHECK YOUR VITALS REGULARLY**
BP, Blood Sugar, and Weight.
High BP and Diabetes are "silent killers". Early detection saves lives.
Normal FBS: 70-99 mg/dL | Normal BP: Less than 140/90
**2. EAT RIGHT & STAY HYDRATED**
More vegetables, less salt and sugar. Drink 6-8 glasses of water daily.
Avoid skipping meals.
**3. MOVE YOUR BODY**
Light walking, stretching, or chair exercises 3x a week.
It helps with blood flow, joints, and prevents falls.
**4. TAKE MEDICATIONS CORRECTLY**
Donβt self-medicate. Use a pill box.
Have someone remind you so you donβt miss doses.
**5. DONβT BE LONELY**
Talk to people. Pray. Read. Companionship prevents depression.
Family members should check on them often.
REMEMBER: Old age is a blessing. With proper care, you can live healthy and happy at home.
