PUBLIC CLARIFICATION ON ALLEGED SIX MONTHS SALARY AREARS AT FMCJ.

The Management of Federal Medical Centre Jalingo has taken note of a recent social media post by an individual identifying himself as "Engr. Habib Muhammad," making allegations relating to the Hospital and the welfare of certain categories of non regular staff.

While the Management of the centre welcomes genuine observations, constructive criticisms, and stakeholder engagements aimed at improving service delivery, it is important that public discussions are guided by facts rather than speculation, assumptions, or unverified claims.

For the avoidance of doubt, all Locum appointments. In the hospital terminated on 31st December, 2025 subject to a renewal. Subsequently, any Staff engaged in 2026 based on operational needs would have been issued a renewal letter and properly documented in line with administrative procedures.

Management therefore wishes to state clearly that Federal Medical centre, Jalingo is not owing any of it's staff in whatever category six months salary and any individual claiming to have rendered services to the Centre at any point without being paid should come forward with verifiable evidence through the appropriate administrative channels for prompt attention.

It is also important to note that FMC Jalingo is a public institution established to serve the people of Taraba State and Nigeria as a whole. The Centre belongs to the public and plays a critical role in healthcare delivery, training, and emergency medical services. Efforts aimed at undermining public confidence in the institution through unsubstantiated allegations do not serve the interests of the people who depend on its services daily.

The Management remains committed to transparency, staff welfare, accountability, and the continuous improvement of healthcare services. We encourage members of the public to verify information through official channels and to raise concerns responsibly and constructively.

While we are not distracted but remain focused on our core mandate of providing quality healthcare services to the people we expect a certain level of trust and confidence from the general public to enable us serve you better.
