USG FOUNDATION is registered with the Corporate Affairs Commission with Rc no 36190 to provide opportunity of meeting the basic health needs of the sick and people suffering from HIV/AIDS as well as encourage mass education of the people using the mass media and other information means of public enlightenment.Its other functions include designing innovative measures and activities to fund basic he
alth programmes as well as promote equal health care for carriers of HIV/AIDS diseases. In the past 15 years of its existence,it has used its Immune Booster Herbal Mixture Drug to reduce the HIV/AIDS pandemic,thus promoting mental dignity of HIV/AIDS affected persons. It has processed raw herbs into medical products for the cure of people and has encouraged access to health education,information technology and know how including access to internet.USG HIV/AIDS FOUNDATION has been working in tandem with the Darka Frame Work for Action 2000,Health for All (HFA),and United Nations Millennium Declaration including World Health Organization Programme which resolved that children everywhere,boys and girls including all manner of people as well as the elderly/aged be entitled to primary Health Care Scheme Delivery with equal access to health for all by the year 2015.Based on the above policy ,the foundation has focused its attention to been educating the matters and giving assistance on issues of health delivery system. USG HIV/AIDS FOUNDATION has been carring out its activities with the concern that sick people infected with HIV/AIDS,the less privileged,the disadvantaged handicapped,disabled,deformed,excluded poor,girls,women,refugees,displaced persons,nomads and others suffering from different killer diseases like TB&Malaria have been denied opportunity of satisfying their basic medical needs on account of poverty ,civil strife economic stagnation,war,debt burden,marginalization and stigmatization
In other to further enhence its activities the foundation has four departments,some which have been registered with the Corporate Affair Commission in order to function effectively,apartfrom its adminstrative department which oversees the day to day running or the foundation.The departments are namely 1.HIV/AIDS PATIENTS HOME 2.USG HERBAL INSTITUTE 3.HERBAL PRODUCTION COMPLEX-Which is registered as USG Natural Medicaine producting the Immune Booster Herbal Mixture and USG HIV/AIDS Testing Centre which presently operates as a Laboratory for all kinds of medical tests.Its is the Hiv/aids patients Home that established soon.The Chairman of the Foundation is Dr.Umaru sule Garkida (M.O.N),a commissioner of police in the communications Department of Nigeria Police Force Headquarters ,Abuja,Nigeria with two other trustees,namely Mr .Suleiman Umar and Mr.Abubakar Umar respectfully
