DIY Turmeric Oil (Using Turmeric Powder)

This method uses the infusion technique, ideal for beginners and safe for skincare use.

✅ Ingredients (Small Batch)

Turmeric powder – 10 grams

Carrier oil: sunflower oil– 90 grams

🥣 Tools Needed

Heatproof glass jar or stainless bowl

Double boiler or pot of hot water

Clean cheesecloth or fine sieve

Storage bottle (amber glass preferred)

🔥 Step-by-Step Instructions

1. Measure and Mix
Add 10g turmeric powder into your jar or bowl.
Pour in 90g carrier oil of your choice. Stir well to combine.

2. Infuse Using Heat Method
Place the jar or bowl inside a pot of hot water (not boiling) — like a double boiler.
Let it heat gently on low for 1 hour, stirring occasionally.
This helps the turmeric’s active compound (curcumin) release into the oil.

3. Cool and Strain
Remove from heat and allow the oil to cool completely.
Strain using a fine sieve, cheesecloth, or coffee filter to remove powder particle

4. Bottle and Store
Store in a clean, dry, dark glass bottle.
Keep away from sunlight and use within 3–6 months.
