Maybe you’ve heard this myth before: “People of color don’t get skin cancer.”

But the truth is simple — if you have skin, you are at risk of skin cancer, regardless of your skin tone.

Skin of color may not always show obvious redness after sun exposure, but that doesn’t mean it isn’t affected. It can still burn. You may notice your skin darkening, feeling warm, becoming dry, cracking, or even developing blisters.

Sun damage can also trigger inflammation, which often leads to hyperpigmentation — those stubborn dark spots many people struggle with.

Confidence is not about being perfect… it’s about believing in yourself no matter what.
