The Community Health Practitioners Registration Board of Nigeria (CHPRBN) in collaboration with representatives of Wensley University, today, Friday, 14 August 2026, paid an official accreditation visit to the School of Health Technology, Kano ahead of the proposed commencement of the *Bachelor of Community Health Science (BCHS) programme*
The delegation from Wensley University was led by
*Professor Edward Onyekamu, Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Academic)*
*Professor Gimbason Daniel Mairafi Dean faculty of health science*
*Dr. Ogunmunwa Florence, Head of Department, Community Health*
During the visit the team assessed the institution's preparedness, academic facilities, human resources, and other requirements necessary for the successful commencement and delivery of the Bachelor of Community Health Science programme
The visit marks a significant milestone in the development of higher education and professional advancement in Community Health providing an important opportunity for qualified Community Health practitioners and prospective students to pursue degree-level education within the state
The management of the School of Health Technology, Kano, appreciates the CHPRBN and Wensley University delegations for their visit and constructive engagement and remains committed to meeting the required standards for the successful commencement of the programme
