What your discharge says about you ?👇👇👇

Normal discharge
• Clear or white (milky)
• Mild or no smell
• Changes across the month (especially with hormones/menstrual cycle)
• Usually not itchy or painful

This is typically normal lubrication and healthy bacterial balance.

Possible infection or imbalance signs
• Yellow or green: can suggest infection (often s*xually transmitted or bacterial)
• Thick, “cottage cheese”-like white discharge: commonly linked with yeast overgrowth. Dungal infections also known an Candidiasis. Beey stubborn thing
• Grey with a strong fishy smell: often associated with bacterial imbalance (like bacterial vaginosis)
• Foamy or unusual texture with irritation: can suggest certain infections

Other warning signs
• Strong or unpleasant odour
• Itching, burning, pain when urinating or during s*x
• Blood outside of expected periods
• Sudden change from your normal pattern

Important context

Discharge alone doesn’t give a diagnosis. It only gives clues, and many conditions overlap. Things like antibiotics, stress, new s*xual partners, hygiene products, or hormonal changes can all affect it too.

When to get checked👇👇

You should consider a s*xual health clinic near you if:
• It’s new and unusual for you
• There’s pain, itching, or strong smell
• It lasts more than a few days without improving
• You’ve had unprotected s*x and notice a change

⚠️ COMMON CAUSES OF VAGINAL ITCHING AND UNUSUAL DISCHARGE 🩺
Vaginal itching and abnormal discharge can happen for different reasons, including:
• Yeast Infection (Candidiasis): Often causes intense itching, burning, and thick white discharge.
• Bacterial Vaginosis (BV): May cause thin white or gray discharge with a fishy odor.
• Trichomoniasis: A s*xually transmitted infection that can lead to yellow-green discharge, itching, and discomfort during urination.
• Chlamydia and Gonorrhea: STIs that may cause unusual discharge, pelvic pain, or irritation.
• Allergic Reactions: Some soaps, sprays, detergents, or scented products can irritate the va**nal area.
• Hormonal Changes: Especially during menopause, hormonal imbalance can cause dryness, itching, and discharge changes.

⚠️ Very Important: Do not ignore persistent itching, bad odor, swelling, pain, sores, or unusual discharge. Avoid self-medication and random use of creams or antibiotics without proper medical advice.
âś… Maintain good hygiene âś… Avoid harsh scented products âś… Wear clean breathable underwear âś… Practice safe s*x âś… Seek proper medical care when symptoms persist

HOME REMEDIES FOR HEMORRHOIDS (PILES)
If you are dealing with hemorrhoids, do not ignore it and do not be ashamed. Many cases can be managed at home, especially when it is still mild.

Here are some important things you should do:
✅ Sit in warm water for 10–15 minutes, 2–3 times daily. This helps reduce pain, itching, and swelling around the a**s.
âś… After using the toilet, wash the area gently with clean water. Avoid harsh soap and rough tissue. Always dry the area properly.
âś… If there is pain or swelling, place a clean cold cloth or ice wrapped in cloth on the area for a few minutes.
âś… Eat more fiber foods to make stool softer and easier to pass. Good examples are: Beans, Oats, Brown rice, Unripe plantain, Vegetables like ugu, spinach, and okra, Fruits like banana, orange, pawpaw, and pineapple
âś… Drink plenty of water daily. This helps prevent constipation.
âś… Do not force or push too hard when passing stool.
âś… Avoid sitting too long, especially on the toilet, because it increases pressure around the a**s.

⚠️ Important: If you notice heavy bleeding, severe pain, strong bad smell, pus, or swelling that is not reducing, please see a doctor.
Hemorrhoids can be treated, especially when proper care is started early.

HEMORRHOIDS (PILES) WHAT THEY ARE

Hemorrhoids also called piles are swollen and inflamed veins around the a**s and lower re**um.
They happen when there is too much pressure in that area for example when you force too much during stool, sit too long, or during pregnancy.

THERE ARE TWO TYPES:
1. Internal hemorrhoids: inside the re**um. You may not see or feel them, but they can cause bleeding.
2. External hemorrhoids: outside around the a**s. You can see or feel them. They can be painful, itchy, or swollen.

COMMON SYMPTOMS
1. Bright red blood during toilet use
2. Itching or irritation around the a**s
3. Pain or discomfort
4. Swelling or small lump near the a**s
5. Feeling like stool is still inside or not fully cleaned
6. Leakage of stool or mucus

Sometimes, there can also be a bad smell from the a**s. This smell may be like stool or something very dirty, especially when there is leakage, sweat, or poor cleaning.

👉Why Do Some People Gain Weight When They Are Stressed?

✍️Stress doesn’t only affect your mind it can also affect your body, including your weight.

➡️Stress Hormones (Cortisol)
When you are stressed, your body releases a hormone called cortisol. High cortisol levels can increase appetite and make your body store more fat, especially around the stomach.

➡️Emotional Eating
Many people turn to food for comfort during stressful times. This often leads to eating sugary or high-calorie foods, even when the body isn’t truly hungry.

➡️Poor Sleep
Stress can disturb sleep. When you don’t sleep well, your hunger hormones become unbalanced, which can make you crave more food the next day.

➡️Reduced Physical Activity
When someone feels overwhelmed or mentally exhausted, they may move less, exercise less, or lose motivation for physical activity, which can contribute to weight gain.

➡️Craving “Quick Energy” Foods
Stress can make the body crave fast energy sources like sweets, fast food, and refined carbohydrates, which can increase calorie intake.

📝Stress affects everyone differently, but understanding these changes can help you be kinder to your body during difficult times.
