Very importantπŸ“’πŸ“’πŸ“’πŸ“’πŸ“’:

Good morning family, Happy weekend to us all. Ever noticed this on your neck?

This is a bit common and noticed more amongst women. It can be a sign of a serious health issue or a not too serious issue. They both have remedy but we should know when to actπŸ˜‡

Dark lines on the neck
Is a condition caused by "acanthosis nigricans".A skin condition often signaling an underlying health issue such as insulin resistance or other less serious issues.

Causes of black lines on neck
1. Insulin resistance /diabetes: excess insulin in the blood can cause skin cells to overgrown and also excess melanin production. This appears as thick, dark patches on the neck. It is a common early sign of prediabetes or type 2 diabetes
2. Hormonal imbalance: conditions such as PMOS( polyendocrine metabolic ovarian syndrome) formally PCOS can lead to shifts in hormone levels thereby causing this neck pigmentation.
3. "Teck neck"/friction: repeatedly looking down at a phone can cause horizontal skin crease to deepen( wahala cos we're many on this table oo). Constant friction from clothes collar, jewelry or skin folds rubbing can cause neck skin to darken.
4. Certain medications : some drugs like oral contraceptives, cholesterol control medication (e.g nicotinic acid) and growth hormones also cause dark lines on neck.

Remedy for dark lines on neck
The best remedy is to treat the root causes. However the physical appearance can be worked on.
1. Aloe vera gel: apply fresh aloe gel to the spot before sleeping and wash off in the morning. Aloe vera contains aloesin which inhibits melanin production.
2. Yoghurt and tumeric paste: mix 2 spoons of plain yogurt with a pinch of turmeric powder.Add half teaspoon of lemon juice mix and apply to neck.leave on for 20minutes then wash off.
3. Potato juice and honey:mix potato juice with a small amount of honey ( I sell the best natural honey πŸ‘). Apply to the neck, allow to dry up before rinsing out.
4. Apple cider vinegar: dilute equal parts vinegar and water.Apply gently with cotton pads.Leave for 2-3 minutes and rinse

Once you notice the lines become thicker even after cleansing.Check blood sugar levels, thyroids and adrenal glands to rule out serious conditions.

Much love πŸ’•πŸ’•

2. 1 medium size pineapple
3. lemon or lime for that tangy taste
4. drinking water

How to prepare
peel the Icheku to get out the small orange fruit inside. soak with clean drinking water for 20 to 30 minutes to extract the juice.
strain out juice from seeds with a thin sieve.
Peel and grind or extract the juice from your pineapple and add into the drink.
Squeeze in your lemon or lime juice into the mixture and cool I. refrigerator.

Take chilled with any snack of your choice.

It turned out so nice with the Icheku taste still dominating.
