Am here once again to talk about BACTERIAL VAGINOSIS (BV) OR VA**NA BACTERIOSIS.
This is a Va**na disease caused by Bacteria(lactobacillus specie)
It is caused by imbalance of naturally occurring bacterial Flora and is often confused with yeast infection (candidiasis) and trichomonas Va**nalis(Trichomoniasis) which are not caused by Bacteria.
SYMPTOMS
1) Thick white Va**nal discharge
2) Unpleasant Fish smell
3)Watery and thin Va**nal discharge (wet mount)
You can also experience this symptoms which are not common
a) Burning sensation during urine
b) Itching around the Va**na
CAUSES/RISK FACTORS
1) Douching
2) Using a medicated solution to clean the Va**na
3) Using water with antiseptic liquids to wash the Va**na
4) Having a new s*x partner
5) Having multiple s*x partner
6)Washing underwears with Strong detergent
7) Putting on wet underwears
8) Using perfumed bubble baths, va**nal deodorants and some scented soaps
9) Smoking
This disease can not be gotten from toilet seat, person to person, Bedding, Swimming pool, or touching objects
TREATMENTS
Metronidazole or Clindamycin either orally or va**nally are effective treatment
Metronidazole (500mg) Twice a day for 7Days for the tablet
Then the metronidazole gel can be inserted into the Va**na
You can also insert Clindamycin cream into you va**na
HELPFUL HOME REMEDIES TO APPLY
Wash your Va**na three times or more a day to reduce smell. Change panties regularly. Wash the Va**na with clean warm water.
You must not use any antiseptic liquids or soaps to wash your Va**na.
