We remember those who died fighting for us all. We honor their memory and commit whole heartedly to the New Nigeria they hoped for.
To the families in deeper mourning for blood siblings, children, mothers and fathers who were killed; we hold you in comfort and we pray for you that peace finds a way to you.
To my fellow Nigerians, comrades, allies and friends, thank you for your bravery and courage. IT IS time to regroup. Please stay indoors, study Nigeria and think of solutions to common problems FOR THE GREATER GOOD.
ALL of us who protested and continue to do so, did because we believed somebody cared, that somebody was listening. It seems like no one is and so we must continue our work to create a New Nigeria.
I encourage you to become an active citizen by engaging your government, writing to your lawmakers, sponsoring bills, getting involved in community mobilization and very importantly: RUN FOR OFFICE!
To the remarkable women who showed extreme courage, empathy, integrity, competence, strength of character, wisdom, fierceness, power, love and LEADERSHIP we thank you.
You are necessary. Your voice is valid. Your vision is clear. You are the example of what a country, movement, group led by women CAN be: safe, nurturing, wise, wealthy, organized, joyful, accommodating, prosperous, fair and HONEST.
PLEASE RUN FOR OFFICE.
I urge each of you especially cisgender MEN to hold women in higher esteem, stop violating them, stop extorting them, stop the revenge p**n, stop the gaslighting, stop preying on young girls, stop mutilating their ge****ls and ironing their breasts, stop depriving them of an education, stop piling housework on them, stop wanting daughters for free labor, stop taking the condom off without their consent, stop ghosting, hitting, trafficking, ra**ng, killing women and girls. Stop groping them on public transportation, stop s*xualizing teenage girls, stop installing hidden cameras and filming women without their consent. Stop it. STOP! STOP!STOP!
WOMEN ARE YOUR ONLY VALID HOPE.
Together we can build a New Nigeria!
ALL NIGERIAN LIVES MATTER.
ALL.
We are Nigerians and this is our home!
