How Cuminus Oil Saved Me from What Could Have Been a Disaster
I'm not even joking when I say Cuminus oil saved my life yesterday. This story is long, but trust me: every part is worth reading. So sit back, relax, and let's dig in.
The Trip and My Yellow Puff Puff Love Affair
My husband, his friends, and I had traveled to Abeokuta, Ogun State, for an Ileya party. On our way back early the next morning, we stopped at Berger because the car's temperature was rising. While we waited, I spotted something that made my heart skip â a guy selling that yellow puff puff!
I donât know if it has another name, but that stuff has held my heart since secondary school. I used to save extra money just to buy it after school and munch it joyfully all the way home. Till today, our love story is still strong. Anytime I see it, it calls me. đ
So naturally, I told my husband to call the vendor over. But right after, I paused. Something in me just didnât feel right about buying it. Maybe itâs age and wisdom â these days, you know not everything sold on the road is safe. Still, since the guy had already come, I just bought it and ate it.
The Storm Begins
We got home, picked up the kids, and settled in. I told them to cast some of their favorite shows from my phone to the TV, gave them food, and told them not to disturb Daddy and me â we needed rest after that long trip.
While we chatted and dozed off, I suddenly felt uncomfortable. I went to the restroom and then decided to lie down on the bare tiled floor â the coolness felt good. Power was restored, but I didnât move. My husband woke up and asked what was wrong. I told him my stomach was acting up, but I didnât want him to worry. He had an appointment, and I wanted him to go.
Shortly after he left, it hit me â real pain. The kind that reminded me of labour pain. No position gave relief. I couldnât even call out to my kids because I had told them earlier not to disturb me. It was just me, in serious pain.
Then came the toilet runs. I kept going back and forth. Still no relief. It got worse. I became weak and dizzy. Eventually, I made my way to the living room. My son saw me and said, âMummy, whatâs wrong with you? Why are you walking like that?â
My daughter quickly added, âShould I call Daddy? Are you sick?â
Enter: The Mighty Cuminus Oil
I told them to help me look for the Cuminus oil. That oil is our everything in the house. Cough? Cuminus. Cold? Cuminus. Rashes? Toothache? Anything at all â Cuminus. I use it on the kids like itâs first aid. Thank God they love it too, especially my daughter:
> âMummy, my leg is paining. Come and put Cuminus oil.â
Thatâs her usual line anytime she injures herself or feels any kind of discomfort.
While all this was going on, my son said he was hungry. I was already worried about feeding them, because I was too weak to fix anything. I hadnât eaten anything other than the yellow puff puff, and it was already evening.
My daughter eventually slept off, and I managed to gather some strength. I told my son to bring three packs of noodles.
I stood up, lit the cooker, poured water into a pot⌠then boom â I dashed out to vomit into a bowl. It was bad. I was throwing up from my nose and mouth at the same time, with a burning pain in my chest. Before I could breathe, I felt the urge to poo again. I ran back to the bathroom â everything was happening at once: the toilet runs, vomiting, all of it.
Right there in the bathroom, I started giving my son instructions on how to cook the noodles. Oh â I also drank some ogi tutu (cold raw pap), hoping it would calm my system. I didnât have lime at home, which could have helped too.
The Turning Point
I came out, still weak, and asked my son again to check for the Cuminus oil. He found it â hallelujah! I poured a generous amount into my mouth. He kept asking questions, trying to help. I eventually had to shout a little â not because I was angry, but because I had no strength for back-and-forth talk. Poor boy. đ˘
Then he said something sweet:
> âMummy, when you get plenty servants, they will help you.â
I replied, âNo, youâre my son. Real men care for people around them.â
My people, I kid you not â after I took that oil, something changed. I could feel it calming my system down, slowly but surely. I was still weak, but I managed to finish cooking the noodles. I couldnât eat it, but I knew I needed strength.
I carried my daughter, tried to wake her and feed her a few spoons, but she wasnât having it. All she wanted was her sleep.
Later that night â very late now â I called my husband. He was almost home. I told him everything, and he said he would come and make some noodles or probably get shawarma. I told him not to bother, that I had already cooked noodles but couldnât eat it.
He got home with shawarma in hand. I told him there was no way I was going to eat that. After realizing that wouldnât work, he soaked garri in cold water so I could have something in my stomach.
A Word of Caution and Gratitude
That whole experience? It wasnât ordinary stomach upset. It was food poisoning â probably from that puff puff. Iâve never felt something that intense in my life (maybe labour pain đ) â not even constipation came close.
Please, letâs be careful what we eat out there. Some of these vendors use oil over and over without changing it, and it can do serious damage. I still love that yellow puff puff, so Iâll probably just learn to make it at home now.
As for Cuminus oil â may God bless the brains who created it. I can boldly say it saved me yesterday. đđž
Nooo â the gospel of this miracle oil needs to be spread across all borders!
Itâs easy to underestimate until you experience it yourself.
Funny thing, I was actually planning to make a video about how it helped during my monthly cycle â and boom, this major one happened.
So tell meâŚ
