If you are a true jollof fan, there is no way you will not have come across the darkish brown leaves πŸƒ many use in cooking jollof rice and spaghetti jollof. I know some just assume it somehow just adds to the taste and nothing else, after all what else could it be doing there in your food?

Bay leaves as they are called aren't there just for the aroma and taste. It's got some healthy benefits too!

-Alter moods of people
-Relieves insomnia
-Reduces chronic stress
-Lowers blood pressure

So the next time you are in a not so good mood, why don't you just chuck down some jollof spiced with bay leaves and watch your mood☺.
