The theme for World Occupational Therapy Day on the 27 October 2026 is Participation Matters.

Participation Matters highlights the role of everyday activities, roles and routines in supporting health, wellbeing and quality of life. Occupational therapy advances participation by addressing physical, cognitive, emotional, environmental and social factors that influence engagement in occupations that people want, need, or are expected to do.

The World Occupational Therapy Day theme, logo and other translated promotional resources will be added to the WFOT website in the coming weeks and months.
