What does it take to build a resilient pharmaceutical future for West Africa?

At Pharma West Africa 2026, that question brought together the people shaping the future of healthcare across the region.

Our MD/CEO, Clare Omatseye, chaired one of the key sessions at the event, bringing together industry leaders, regulators, and innovators to examine the future of medicine supply chains and how to make them stronger, safer, and more sustainable.

With voices like Ahmed I Yakasai, Akin Abayomi, and Njide Ndili, the message was clear: building the future of healthcare starts with aligning systems around people.

Because at the heart of it all is one goal, getting the right diagnosis to every patient, every time.

And truly, Mr. Taofiq Kelani-Sh*ttu has been just thatā€”and so much more.

For 17 remarkable years, he stood as a pillar within our Finance Division, embodying excellence, discipline, and quiet brilliance. But beyond the numbers and reports, he built something even more lastingā€”people. Through his mentorship, integrity, and unwavering work ethic, he shaped careers, strengthened teams, and inspired a standard many will continue to uphold.

On March 31st, we came together not just to mark his retirement, but to celebrate a legacyā€”filled with laughter, heartfelt tributes, and shared memories, each one a testament to the impact he made.

While we will miss his presence, we are grateful for the journey heā€™s had and the lives heā€™s touched. As he steps into this new chapter, we wish him peace, fulfillment, and all the joy this next phase brings. Because some legacies donā€™t fadeā€”they live on in every life theyā€™ve influenced.
