Several months ago, a patient came to see me with a concerning finding in her right breast. A biopsy confirmed breast cancer.

I referred her to an oncologist, and she received chemotherapy and other treatment before returning for surgery.

On Saturday, I performed a bilateral mastectomy with immediate breast implant reconstruction as part of her ongoing care.

Behind this operation is a woman, her courage, and a journey that continues beyond surgery. Cancer treatment and reconstruction require an individualized plan and continued follow-up.

• Know what is normal for your breasts.
• Get a new lump, skin change, ni**le change or abnormal discharge checked promptly—even if it is painless.
• Discuss the right screening plan for your age and personal risk with a healthcare professional.

Another proud milestone for Grandville Medical Group! 🎉

Today, we commissioned a 160-watt holmium laser system at our Surulere branch, expanding our capacity to treat benign enlargement of the prostate.

This adds to our growing urological services, with more than 20 robotic prostatectomies already performed at Grandville Surulere.

It was an honour to welcome Dr. Taiwo Alabi and distinguished professors and colleagues from across Nigeria. Having some of my former teachers from the College of Medicine, University of Lagos, present made this occasion especially meaningful. To have those who helped shape my journey witness this milestone is something I will always treasure.

Thank you to our partners, the Grandville team, and everyone who joined us. We also appreciate the Lagos State Government for creating an enabling environment for healthcare investment.

The procedure was completed in 2 hours, with no blood transfusion required in this case.
