BORNO STATE SENIOR SECONDARY SCHOOL EDUCATION BOARD COMMENCES DOCUMENTATION OF NEWLY RECRUITED TEACHERS
The Borno State Senior Secondary School Education Board (BSSSEB) has commenced the documentation and verification exercise for shortlisted candidates recruited into public senior secondary schools across the state.
The exercise, which began on Monday at the Board's headquarters in Maiduguri, is being conducted in phases to ensure a smooth, orderly and transparent process for all successful candidates.
The Executive Chairman of the Board, Prof. Yusufu Gana Balami, is presiding over the exercise alongside Board members and officials from the Ministry of Education, Science, Technology and Innovation.
Speaking at the commencement of the exercise, Prof. Yusufu Gana Balami said the Board had commenced the documentation in line with its earlier announcement following the release of the list of successful candidates.
«"Today marks the commencement of the documentation exercise as earlier announced by the Board. To ensure a smooth and hitch-free exercise, we have grouped the documentation into three phases. Today, Monday, June 29, 2026, we are attending to candidates from Borno North and Borno Central Senatorial Districts, excluding Maiduguri Metropolitan Council (MMC) and Jere. Tomorrow, Tuesday, June 30, we will attend to candidates from Southern Borno, while candidates from MMC and Jere will be documented on the subsequent day," Prof. Yusufu Gana Balami said.»
The Chairman urged all shortlisted candidates to comply strictly with the documentation requirements.
"All shortlisted candidates are required to present the original copies of their academic certificates for verification. However, where an institution has not yet made the certificate for a candidate's year of graduation available, the original Statement of Result will be accepted for the documentation exercise.
