BODMA Executive Secretary Briefs Media on Preparedness for Civil Servants’ Formal Sector Health Scheme in Borno State.
Earlier today, the Executive Secretary of the Borno State Drugs and Medical Consumables Management Agency (BODMA), *Pharm. Dr. Umar Abdulkarim Abubakar*, held an interactive session with members of the media to brief them on the Agency’s preparedness for the implementation of the *Formal Sector Health Insurance Scheme for civil servants in Borno State, under the Borno State Contributory Healthcare Management Agency (BOCHMA).*
During the engagement, the Executive Secretary highlighted the strategic role of BODMA in *ensuring uninterrupted availability, efficient management, and transparent distribution of quality drugs and medical consumables across health facilities participating in the scheme.* He emphasized that adequate structures and systems have been put in place to support the smooth rollout and sustainability of the formal sector programme.
Pharm. Dr. Umar further briefed the media on key activities carried out so far, including stakeholder engagements, coordination with relevant government agencies, strengthening of supply chain mechanisms, and alignment with BOCHMA’s operational framework to guarantee optimal service delivery to civil servants.
He reaffirmed BODMA’s commitment to supporting the vision of the *Borno State Governor, Prof. Babagana Umara Zulum _FNSE, FNIAE, CON,_ to provide accessible, affordable, and quality healthcare services to its workforce,* while calling on the media to continue playing a constructive role in public enlightenment and awareness creation on the benefits of the formal sector health insurance scheme.
