“Your face already revealed your baby’s gender before you did.” 😂
This comment honestly made me laugh.
But it also took me back to the pregnancy beliefs many of us grew up hearing.
You know those moments when a pregnant woman walks into a room and suddenly everyone becomes a pregnancy expert? 😂
Someone looks at her face.
Another person examines her bump.
Someone else asks what she has been craving.
And before long, somebody confidently announces:
“It’s a boy!”
“No, look at her face. Definitely a girl!” 😂
Growing up, we heard all kinds of explanations:
✨ “If she’s glowing, it’s a boy.”
✨ “If pregnancy has taken away her beauty, it’s a girl.”
✨ “A high bump means girl.”
✨ “A low bump means boy.”
✨ “The way she carries the pregnancy can tell you.”
And the funniest part?
Sometimes they actually got it right. 😂
That was enough to make everyone believe the prediction must be true.
But as interesting as these old pregnancy tales are, they aren't reliable ways to determine a baby's s*x.
Pregnancy changes every woman's body differently. Your hormones, body shape, baby's position and other factors can affect how you look during pregnancy.
So yes, let's enjoy the old pregnancy tales for what they are—fun traditions, not medical tests. ❤️
Now I'm curious…
What is the funniest pregnancy “sign” you grew up hearing that people around you completely believed? 😂
